Originally from Belvidere, NJ, John is a graduate of Belvidere High School. John also holds a M.A. degree from Ball State University, B.S. degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and A.S. from Graham Junior College in Sales and Broadcast Management. He obtained his education in real estate through Spruce School of Real Estate. John is a member of the National Association of Realtors and is a member of the Weston-Buckhannon Board of Realtors and North Central West Virginia Board of Realtors where he has served as a Board Member for 6 years.
John served in the United States Air Force for eight years, and 23 years with the Federal Aviation Administration, one year with the Lockheed Martin Corporation and one year with the Washington Consulting Group in Air Traffic and Flight Services. John was a ski instructor at Timberline Four Seasons Resort for 28 years and two years at Canaan Valley Resort. Most recently John has held a position in the Business Department of Davis and Elkins College as an Adjunct Faculty member for three years.
John has been active in the local swimming program and assisted the original coach in the development of a local summer recreation team, was progect manager in starting the local high school Swim Team program and the first College Swim Coach at Davis and Elkins College serving there for 4 years.
John has been active in the community and is a member of Elks Lodge 1135 and passed through the chairs and served as Trustee for four years, was an Assistant Scout Master with Elkins Troop 88, and served as a registered swimming official with the National Federation of State High School Associations and earned the WV Official Of the Year Award, and he is the father of two children, Kevin & Kristi and a grandson Anthony.
